Civics Event with Rogers High School
A great and rewarding program continues! Members of the FBA and our extended attorney family volunteered at another High School Civics Event at Page Belcher Federal Courthouse in Tulsa. Magistrate Judge Jodi F. Jayne graciously offered her time and presided over the proceedings. Together with 30 ninth-graders from Will Rogers high school, we all learned together about effective strategies for civil discourse, the First Amendment in public schools, and how federal lawyers and the federal judiciary make decisions every day that have real-world effects on citizens around the country. Thanks so much to our visiting students and to our wonderful volunteers!
